A sudden turn to marketing
After 3.5 years in Supply Chain Management, I made a bold move to Germany and pivoted my career to marketing – a sudden, unexpected turn that left many friends and former colleagues still picturing me in the supply chain world.
I have to say, I am very happy with my decision. I’ve always had an affinity for creativity and a fascination with data, and in marketing, I’ve found the sweet spot where these two worlds collide. It’s like blending my favorite ingredients in a recipe.
Working in marketing feels as satisfying as enjoying a delightful meal. Every day is a happy day for me because I get to do what I love and love what I do.
There are always exciting stories behind the scenes
Click to dive into the exciting narratives behind my experiences.
Online Marketing Manager | MID GmbH | Germany | 2024 – now
After over three exciting years in the startup world, wearing multiple hats, I’ve decided to zero in and fine-tune my expertise. Now, at MID, I am in charge of website management and Google Ads, allowing my data analytics and creativity sparks to fly – doing what I love and what I do particularly well.
Joining MID feels like a flashback to my time at Decathlon – where the atmosphere is vibrant, the structure is solid and the team is nothing short of amazing. Before starting, I wondered whether a seemingly stable organization would offer sufficient challenges for me. Yet, I quickly found myself immersed in exciting, large-scale projects, allowing me to innovate, experiment, and craft data-driven experiences.
I eagerly look forward to absorbing and sharing the valuable lessons that this new adventure will undoubtedly bring forth.
Marketing Manager | traplinked GmbH | Germany | 2020 – 2023
My journey with traplinked began as a working student, and the lack of a marketing department sparked a wildfire of possibilities in my mind. No marketing activities, no strategy – I saw a blank canvas waiting to be painted with potential. I seized the moment and dove headfirst into the work, assembling a team of fellow working students and a full-time colleague whose full potential was untapped in his current role. We were a powerhouse, just missing one thing – a lead. That’s how I became Head of Marketing at traplinked, on a mission to accelerate growth and revenue. Ambitious goals ahead, and I worked my *ss off to make them a reality.
From lead management to marketing automation, performance marketing, email marketing to print design, I dived into every aspect of marketing. A year in a startup feels like three in a regular job – fast-paced and chaotic. Limited resources forced me to find efficient ways to get things done. No one was there to ask for help. I remember working 10 to 12 hours a day, 6 days a week, and spending the rest of the time attending courses or consulting external professionals – luckily the help often came without a hefty price tag or at minimal cost.
At traplinked, I led a dynamic team of 2 to 4, where the lineup shifted with each chapter. Working with a total of seven vibrant teammates during my time there, I experienced both highs and lows in managing team dynamics. What truly enlightened me were the moments of feedback during mentoring – the “Wow, that’s great!” or “I didn’t know we could do it like that!”. Leading, I’ve realized, is a two-way street. As I was guiding my team, they, in turn, inspired and challenged me with their diverse perspectives.
In one word, startups are “chaos.” But damn, it’s an exciting journey I don’t regret! I still love the startup world, eager to share my experiences to help fellow marketers navigate the learning curve.
Talent Program | ZOLLHOF Tech Incubator| Germany | 2020
This laid the first brick for my career in marketing in Germany. Initially hesitant, as the program mirrored a university project, I’m grateful I seized the opportunity. The experience not only allowed me to hone my skills and knowledge through an engaging project in web design but also opened the door to the dynamic startup world within the Zollhof ecosystem. Post-program, a referral led me to traplinked, kickstarting an exciting adventure.
The startup ecosystem here is fantastic, exposing me to incredible ventures and offering valuable learning experiences. If you’re new to marketing, joining the program is a worthwhile endeavor – for mentoring, hands-on experience and building an excellent network!
Supply Production Leader | Decathlon | Vietnam | 2017 – 2019
“At Decathlon, I learned this…”; “At Decathlon, we did this …”
“Yeah, yeah, Decathlon – the best working environment in the world,” my partner would teasingly say as I repeatedly cited Decathlon as a prime example of teamwork, structure, organization and human development.
And truly, it was exceptional! Switching my career to marketing, I am proud to carry with me a wealth of expertise in strategic planning, data analysis, and problem-solving gained through my time at Decathlon. Additionally, my proficiency in teamwork, project management and interpersonal skills, honed during my period at Decathlon, further enriches my marketing toolkit.
Production Coordinator | Dolcemia Inc | Vietnam | 2015 – 2017
My first two weeks here were pretty dull – buried in paperwork, feeling like a bystander in a busy office. Lessons learned: always keep coffee close for onboarding fatigue and, crucially, actively seek out tasks to stay engaged. Applying these, my later onboarding experiences were far from boring. After all, I’m someone who likes to get my hands on the job from day 1.
After the initial two weeks, I became the busy professional I wanted to be – juggling tasks, refining skills in planning, project management, teamwork, presentation and data analysis. Most importantly, I learned to handle a heavy workload and make quick, sound decisions, proving my ability to succeed in high-pressure situations.

International Marketing, M.A.
University of Technology Nuremberg George Simon Ohm, Germany
This is where my new journey began, shifting from supply chain management to marketing. Also, all my student dreams came true here: earning a scholarship, winning a competition prize and working while studying. While I also achieved these milestones during my time in Vietnam, accomplishing them here felt immensely more fulfilling!
